BCF2000 -> BCF2000 Port 1 changed?

Post by lindsayward »

Hi there,
I have been setting up my BCF2000, and I took it to another computer, ran BC Manager and did something (send all data?)... I was just trying to load the data from the device, but it gave me a warning about how modifying a global setup might change the MIDI devices and these would need to be changed before it would work again...

Now, it shows up as 5 different devices in MIDI-OX and FreeStyler:
(INPUT DEVICE)
BCF2000 Port 1
BCF2000 Port 2

(OUTPUT DEVICE)
BCF2000 Port 1
BCF2000 Port 2
BCF2000 Port 3

It works - if I select Port 1 (as in and out), BUT it's different and more complex than it was before.
I have tried restoring factory presets, reflashing the firmware, and trying it on another computer. Nothing changes this back to just "BCF2000" as the device.

Anyone seen this before or know what to do to restore it?
I have searched and found similar issues on other forums, but either they replaced the unit or just used port 1, or restoring factory presets did what they needed (but maybe not what I want).

? Thanks...
