Hi,
I was wondering if anyone had controlled any of their fixtures with joystick control, especially moving heads? I wanted to know if it was easy to control them during a live show? My plan was to use them with the joystick then press a button to make it reset to the center position? Is it possible to do this at all? I did notice that there is a center option for it and was wondering how much does it let you move the center by or is it better to change it in the settings on the moving head?

Re: Joystick Control
Hej Nathanrs93
The center control is a part of the Fanning function.

Joystick as control.
I have been testing it and for me it don't work.
The moving head have 540 deg movement and when you try to control it with a joystick it is to sensitive.
You just have to touch the stick and the beam are in the other side of the room.
I tried to track a person and ended up making scenes with a lot of fixed points that I could step one by one.

Re: Joystick Control
Hi Jan_K
I found this out today that it is very sensitive when using a joystick, after testing it on the moving heads we have. I read the link you posted and didn't understand much of it, so wanted to ask something.
If I wanted to make the moving heads dance all over the place and then press a certain button my keyboard to bring them all back to one spot, is it possible? It would mean I'd have to set the spot as the orgin (starting point) for them all doesn't it? Or is it just something I'd have to program manually?

Re: Joystick Control
You have to make it as a sequence with "one" scene.
You can then place it on one of the override buttons.
(With override buttons you only have one scene in the sequence)
You can then place this override button on a hot key.

Re: Joystick Control
Hi Jan_K
I thought it would be something along those lines but just wanted to make sure. I'll have a play around when I get chance. Thanks for your help.
