What do these boxes control

Post by quincydread »

So in every channel control window for my fixture (laser), there are these boxes (if i can include an image i will).. They have a few symbols that often appeat.. the disabled symbol, or it will fill in blue triangle shapes.. I cant quite figure out what they do.. I know sometimes if i am using sound2light it will start moving whne nothing is selected on teh sliders.. but if i click that box it will stop it.. there are a few other things like this i cant figure out.. is there any kind of glossary/legend that explains symbols...hope all of that makes sense bcause its hard to explain whne all of this DMX stuff is new to me.

Freestyler is designed to work with programmed sequences, not just change parameters on the fly, Create sequences then have S2L make the movements on beat.
Whenever you open the sequence creator window then any fixture you select will have those boxes next to every channel slider. The boxes determine how the channel will react within the programmed sequence:
Red = Channel not used in the sequence
Yellow = Movements will snap instantly to the next ste
Green = Channel will fade between steps according to values set in sequence creator window.
Remember, anything not programmed into the sequence will maintain previous values manually set or residual from previous sequence. If you tell a light to turn on you must also tell it to turn off when you want that to happen
