Here is an update on the Raspberry Pi basic single output DMX Media Server for FreeStyler that I started.
Pi now supports via OLA sACN E1.31 via Wi-Fi, Artnet over the Pi’s ethernet, or USB DMX input ( I am using DMX King Micro USB). There is also an option of a version that has its own Hot Spot on the Pi.

The Pi now acts as a simple single channel Video Media server that can store 256 HD Video loops. Control is via 4 DMX channels. There is now the ability to mix to the new clip, with rate adjustable in 8 steps, from a cut, to a slow mix of several seconds. A Dimmer channel allows overall level control of the clip which is carried through to next clip on mix. There are also control levels that pause, play and double speed the Clip as well as slowing it down.

I have tested this on both an RPI4 and RPI400, I had to change the GPU memory setting to at least 128MB, but am running with 256MB. I don’t know if it will run on Pi3, if it does the mixes will be slower as they were scaled using the Faster CPU on Pi4.

A demo video can be seen at: https://youtu.be/QtlJeiAu-c8

more information can be found at : https://www.d-lites.uk/

I have available a set of instructions, scripts and sample media on how to build on a fresh install of Raspberry OS ( about 45MB). I also have an image of it configured in Wi-Fi Hotspot mode ( about 8 GB).
Both include the Freestyler profile.
