Great app, i really use it daily.
Mostly only the fade in/out button (it's for home use) but it works great and fast.

The app doesn't work with the new beta version 4.1.2
i can connect but the master intensity doesn't work)

Normally is didn't use wifi to connect with Freestyler but lately (with Freestyler 4.1.1) it didn't want to connect.
So better support for usage without Wifi would be nice.
(I have 10Gb data on my phone so i don't need to use Wifi plus then you can turn on and off your lights when you're not at home/work)

Freestyler doesn't operate over the internet and requires a local wifi connection. It has been this way since day one.

Whilst this could be done over the internet it would require both your PC and Android device to be connected to the internet.

Would also require additional layers of security to prevent others from controlling your lights

would require me to host a server that connects the correct android device to the correct Freestyler PC would add subscription costs

local wifi connection is generally the most universally accepted method because of how easy and cheap it is for the users to implement.

Version 4.1.3beta fixed it for me, i can connect again over the internet.
I do also have a portforward on my router.
When i use the fade in button the light don't fade in, the fade time does change from 1000ms to 2000ms and keeps going up when i press the fade in button.
The slider does work as it should.

I allready have a server (IIS based with php8.1 and Mysql8.0) so if i can help, i would do so gladly.
I have a 100/100Mbit connection with a double 10Gbit fibre backbone to the Utrecht University.
Not superfast but it's very very stable.

I do hope you have some firewall rules on that port that restricts access to only allow certain IPs?

On that port, yes but i have more ports open because it runs on my mail/webeserver, not on my daily use PC.
