Don't know what I did but now on the FS remote test Item # 2 says: Error Computer NOT accepting local connections on port 3332

Connection in use by: 127.0.0.1:55084 state: established

ok went to the freestyler icon in the upper right corner of the freestyler X2 program and clicked disable all connections and now the FS remote test is back to saying everything is good again except for item #5 as previously mentioned.

When I restart the FS bluetooth server and run the FS remote test again, that's when Item#2 says it's no longer on port 3332. I thought I almost had this but getting very frustrated and confused right now. Any further light you could shed on the matter would be most appreciated.

Hi Matt,
Sorry for so many posts but I'm trying to wrap my head around this whole thing and maybe my posts and your answers can help others experiencing the same problems. Anyway, If I'm understanding things correctly, the FS remote test program only communicates on port 3332 and that means the Freestyler Bluetooth server should not be running while using the FS remote test right? Is that why when I ran the FS Remote test it showed it was no longer on port 3332 because the bluetooth server took over?

I don't have the bluetooth server running right now and everything looks good in the FS Remote test list except item 2 as the firewall can't find Freestyler and I have no clue how to fix that.

Hi, Freestyler can only accept one connection at a time, either bluetooth or the connection test.
Option 5 states that Freestyler512 can not be found in your firewall(the test needs updating for x2), however you have added the port instead so should be ok.

Its safe to say that the bluetooth server is connecting to FS as the disconnect symbol only shows when theres a connection.

Next step is to view the output from the bluetooth server.

How do I do that? So far the app on my tablet still does not show any of my fixtures or cues.

If freestyler on my computer has the Bluetooth server running and showing in the upper right hand corner and my Samsung tab 4 shows it is connected to my computer via blue tooth and the computer confirms this as well, then shouldn't I see my cues when I click on the cue button on the apps upper left hand corner drop down menu? When I click on the cue in the app, I see the tabs across the top but the middle of the screen is just black empty space. No cues showing from my computer.

Still not able to get this to work. Haven't gotten a reply back from you yet in regards to how to get the tablet to listen to the output of the bluetooth server on the computer so I can see my fixtures and cues. I assume when the tablet is connected to the computer through bluetooth that it should be able to receive the info from the server on my computer. Do I need to install the blue tooth server on the tablet as well?

In windows when you click on the bluetooth server icon, a window will open with the commands sent to and received from the tablet.

does the blackout command work?

The bluetooth server is in its infancy and there may be compatibility issues with certain bluetooth hardware, i have found the microsoft drivers / stack works best.

Not sure if I'm looking at the windows Bluetooth serer icon or not. I am using windows 8.1. I move the curser to the bottom right of the screen and the charm bar pops up, I click on the icon that looks like a cog and says "settings", I then click on the white words "change PC Settings" and that opens a window that is titled "PC settings ad along the left side there are settings. I click on "Bluetooth" and a list of paired devices shows up in the right panel/ I see my Galaxy Tab there but no information other than it is connected. It doesn't sow what is being sent or received by the tab. I opened Freestyler gain, then the bluetooth server, got the message saying it was running in the background, then connected the tablet through bluetooth, then opened the app on the tablet. I tapped on the blackout button and the tablet make a bleep sound and the blackout button was highlighted by a blue square around it, but nothing changed or reacted on the screen of the PC.

wait I think I found what you where asking me for. I clicked on the freestyler bluetooth exe file again and saw the pop up window saying it was running in the background. I then clicked on the show hidden ions in the sys tray and found "Bluetooth remote" I liked on it and a window popped up and it says "server started, waiting for clients". So I'm assuming that means it's not seeing the tablet or getting commends from it. But the tablet is connected to the computer. I an see it in both the tablet's and windows Bluetooth settings windows.

I tried this on a different laptop running windows 7 professional thinking that windows 8 might be the problem but I got the identical problem and results.

what bluetooth device are you using, i believe there is issues with bluesoli

Im using a Lenovo all in one computer with built in blue tooth on one system I tried and the other is an older dell laptop that doesn't have bluetooth so I bought a USB blue tooth dongle made by Kinivo model # BTD-300. If I can't get this to work with my systems can I get a refund o the app or try the Wifi app? I'd rather use bluetooth because Wifi is only available 50% of the times in the halls I'm in and even then sometimes the connection is weak or slow.

Hi,
I just bought the bluetooth app, and I face also issues.
My status :
- Bluetooth server is running, and shows "waiting for clients".
On the phone (tested with a Samsung S5 and Motorola Razri, same behavior) :
- I'm able to transfer a file via BT between phone and PC
- Launching blutooth terminal, BT server shows properly "Clint has conncted", and text "xxxxx" sent from terminal shows up properly in bluetooth server with "Sent to FS: FSxxxxx"
- then close the BT terminal app (bluetooth server shows "server restarting, server started, waiting for clients")
- Launch freestyler BT app , select PC BT connection => I get the "Freestyler BT connected" on android side. But nothing happens in the bluetooth server... (still waiting for clients)
- => then, nothing shows up in the app, as it seems communication is not OK...

It seems the issue is in the android app, right?

I don't think there is any firewall issue there, as bluetooth terminal is OK. Just in case there would be an additional issue between blueetooth server and freestyler PC program, do you have a test command that could be sent from BT terminal, that would trigger something in the freestyler PC program?

Iv pulled the app from the store due to the recent problems as far too many users are having connection issuess until i can identify the problem.

Hi,
OK, so assumption was right at least in android => PC direction :
Sending "OC002255" from BT terminal, sends "FSOC002255", which puts FS in blackout as you said.
So this means the FS android app does not send anything..?

Let me know if you want me to try anything helping to fix.

New dangle has same issues. Athe this point I would like to exchange the Bluetooth app for the wifirst app. How do we go about doing that? Do you refund me for the Bluetooth app and then I buy the WiFi app or can you do everything in one transaction on your end?
