Hey Mattotone,
any news on a Gomonkey 2?
i heard some things about it but its been a couple months?
I'm sure we could get a decent donation racked up for it as a lot of people would use it!

how to setup go monkey:

install go monkey in the c:\Freestyler folder.

put all sequences (.chb files) made with freestyler in : c:\Freestyler\chases

make xml file with go monkey like in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O-yoWQyBJfk

save xml file in c:\freestyler folder.

run freestyler
next run go monkey , the xml file is already loaded by default.

if you see a xml file SL , its from the sound 2 light app SL located in c:\freestyler
delete the xml file and the exe , from the sound 2 light application

now it should work

Hi Guys

I am very new to all of this, and have zero knowledge when it comes to .xml files

My first problem I have is getting Go monkey installed the correct way
I have downloaded the latest file and installed this using the default path

When searching the forum I see comments like this must be installed in the same Directory as Freestyler
However I do not seem to find and Installation and setup Manual for Dummys
So I can follow simple instuctions

There is also a mention in the forum of a drag and drop function to drag the cue into go monkey But I don't see this when I open The go monkey interface

All Help will be appriciated

Regards

Kenny

Files should be installed in your main freestyler directory. I believe c:/Freestyler is the default.

To Create shows and Scenes, in the top right there is a button labeled edit / create cue stack, this will open the XML editor.

My chases have an extension of .chs in the chases folder and will not load into GM. All the instruction's say to have all the chases (.chb) files in the chases folder.

Is FS saving them differently? I tried renaming the extension which allows me to load in to GM but get errors in FS when trying to run the sequence from GM.

The Latest Version of Freestyler introduced a new file format for saving chases that GoMonkey is not compatible with.

Which version of FreeStyler is compatible?
