Control Freestyler from OBS Studio

Post by Pitanga »

Hello,

We are musicians putting on a show that includes video projections and sound effects/soundtracks managed by OBS Studio.
The only thing missing is the lighting, which we’d like to trigger automatically (most of the time) based on scene transitions in OBS Studio. Despite searching forums and tutorials, I haven’t been able to figure this out.
For now, our lighting setup consists of two Contest Minicube 6ctb projectors, and our goal is simply to add color transitions to the projectors. To test things out, I managed to create cues (1 fade-in and 1 fade-out), but I can’t trigger the cues from a Python script despite being connected via Obs-Websocket in OBS Studio.
Is this the right approach, and should I keep trying this way ? Do you have any ideas about what might be causing the issues (Python script errors ?) or links to tutorials ?
Thanks for your help
