I've seen a few topics/post reference the ADJ Fog Fury Jet. I was wondering if anyone can help with profile for this fixture.
Thanks in advance

Attached is a 7 channel fixture for your fogger.

NOTE - due to the fogger having RGBA lights I did not define your instrument as a fogger to Freestyler. The fogger definition only allows for fog and fan. If you desire, 2 fixtures may be defined. a 1 channel fogger and a 6 channel RGBA light.

With the 7 channel definition the Color pallet, custom sliders and lamp helpful programming windows are available. (Windows -> all)

Your feedback is welcome.

Would I need to create the channel fogger or you have that profile too?

Attached are 2 fixtures for your ADJ Fog Fury Jett
-Fogger (controls channel 1)
-LEDs (controls channels 2-7)

BE SURE YOU SET THE CORRECT ADDRESSING
-Determine what 7 channel address range you want (ex. 11-17) and configure the physical instrument to have a starting address of that range (ex. 11)
-add the Fogger fixture to Freestyler with that address (ex. 11)
_add the LEDs fixture to Freestyler with that address PLUS 1 (ex. 12)

The Freestyler fogger programming window is available for the Fogger
The Color, Lamp and Custom Sliders windows are available for the LEDs

I have never used a fogger and thus have no experience with the fogger control window. I would really appreciate feedback on making it work. Any other feedback is also most welcome.

Hi there! I have been working with this Fury Jet but still not doing like I want it to. Pretty much when I turn the R fader up it produces fog and lights...still havent figured out how to produce just lights and no fog. Should I add 2 fury jets and on same dmx channel.
Im not understanding this part
add the Fogger fixture to Freestyler with that address (ex. 11)
_add the LEDs fixture to Freestyler with that address PLUS 1 (ex. 12)

Your Fury Jet is physically 2 devices - a fogger device and an RGBV lighting device. The best, in my opinion, representation of the Fury Jet in Freestyler is with 2 fixtures - one that defines the fogger device and one that defines the RGBV lighting device.

DMX controls a device by sending a signal comprised of a channel (1 - 512) and a value (0-256). A device that is controlled via DMX has to be configured with a starting channel number. I used 11 just as an example, you can choose any channel number you desire (though since your device responds to 7 channels the starting address can not exceed 250).

In my example the starting channel of the device is 11. That means that:
channel 11 controls the fogger
channel 12 controls the RED lights
channel 13 controls the GREEN lights
channel 14 controls the BLUE lights
channel 15 controls the AMBER lights
channel 16 controls the Strobe effect
channel 17 controls the brightness of the lights (dimmer)

When you add a fixture to Freestyler you specify the starting DMX channel address.
Thus in my example you would add the fogger fixture with a starting address of 11 and add the light fixture with a starting address of 12 (since the light fixture is defined with 6 channels Freestyler knows that the other channels are 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17). This allows the 2 Freestyler fixture definitions to properly control your physical device.

Hope this helps

Gotcha, more understandable. In my case I was just starting the address with DMX 1...its like channel 1 was working with the fog and a mixture of lights but for some reason the other channels were not working. its like the RGB is not activated or something. Then again I dont think I did what your saying about in this example. I'll keep trying
add the fogger fixture with a starting address of 11 and add the light fixture with a starting address of 12 (since the light fixture is defined with 6 channels Freestyler knows that the other channels are 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17). This allows the 2 Freestyler fixture definitions to properly control your physical device.

You may not have the physical device configured properly. According to the manual there is a 1 channel mode, a 2 channel mode, a 3 channel mode, a 5 channel mode and the 7 channel mode. Check the physical configuration. It must be set to 7 channel mode for the fixtures I made to work correctly.

So im supposing the d7 on the fixture stands for 7 channel. I put it on that and started an address of 116 due to other lights being addressed already. So the address went from 116-122. Now so far the fogger part of fixture is working fine but still no RGBV lights. Again i will try and add just a fog fixture and the the channel one. I will start from scratch and maybe just use fog fury without nothing else addressed to test.

- Based on my understanding of the manual, you are correct, d7 sets the 7 channel DMX mode.
- A starting address of 116 is fine as long as no other fixtures use an address of 116-122.
- Since the fogger is working you added the fogger fixture correctly.
- Check and make sure the light fixture has a starting address of 117.
- Remember also that you must have the dimmer channel high enough to see the lights and at least one of the RGBV channels high enough to see that color.

There is a menu item in Freestyler, Output. Click that and then click Show Output. This will open a window that shows the values Freestyler is sending to each channel. Scroll the window so that you can see the values being sent to 116-122. Now click on the light fixture. Make some changes - you should see the values change in the Output window.

One other thought - you don't by chance have Black Out on.

Hi there, i still havent been able to get the fury jet to work properly. Pretty much it just produces fog with random lights for now. In addition, I was able to see the output values sending to each channel. And again if I use the fogger with the address of 116 and light fixture address of 117. Should the actual fixture be on a address of 116 or 117. Dont want to worry you to much about this. For now I will just use it like it is and hopefully I can figure it out. Thanks

The actual (physical) fixture should have an address of 116.
The Freestyler fogger fixture would have an address of 116
The Freestyler LED fixture would have a starting address of 117.

I'm beginning to wonder if you have a defective fixture. There isn't a DMX value that would cause random lights, at least according to my understanding from the user manual. (You do not have another Freestyler fixture defined with address(es) in the 116 - 121 range, correct?)

In the output window were the values what you expected? If you can take a screen shot or SNIP of the output window when the Fury is fogging and displaying random lights. Upload the screen shot here.

UPDATE: There is a setting that will cause the issue you are having. If you have your physical fixture set to 1 channel mode the physical fixture will react exactly as you describe.

Forgot to mention that i did not have another freestyler fixture defined with those addresses. I might have worded the the part where i stated that when the fog comes on lights produce to. The light values appears to be in full or like with all the lights on.
