Issues with Venue LED Par 64

Post by Tmustard89 »

Hey guys I'm pretty new to the freestyler software. I just got my first set up and I'm running into an issue with my par64. the issue I'm running into is that when I set a scene and run the scene in the queue that uses a strobe effect once the strobe starts it will not stop. I've tried using a stop sequence and that doesn't stop it either. The only other thing I can think of is I am using the fixture profile for a venue LED par 56 and the light is a venue LED par 64. the lights look almost identical but I'm not sure if that's the issue? Any help would be much appreciated!

Looks of the fixture have no effect. You have to make sure that the fixture profile you are using matches the dmx profile of your light exactly. You cannot expect correct operation if the files are not correct. You will need to open the fixture file you are using with "fixture creator" and open the manual for the light you are using and make sure they match. If the file does not match you will need to make the necessary adjustments to correct then save the file. You will also need to export the file should you want to use it on another PC.

So from what I can see the DMX is matching exactly. I just don't understand why it won't stop strobing

Maybe im making the sequence wrong?

You have to make sure that all channels are set to active to make sure nothing is carrying over from sequence to sequence. Make your strobe sequence then make another sequence with all channels on zero and lightning bolt on right side of every channel. That should turn the light completely off. If that works then the problem is the way you are trying to create sequences.
Please remember that if you make a sequence with par can red but no other channels active and you make next sequence green and do not turn off the red your new sequence will be yellow rather than green

Biggest thing to remember is that movements are designed to be run within sequences. Trying to run them on the fly does not work.
