Hi, Ive been using FS for a while now and one problem keeps arising.
I have done lots of programs with moving heads but I have to set up lights every time because I cannot align them using 3D visualaliser.
the problem is this..
I mount lights on truss (Robe's & ADJ Inno's moving heads, with display in front, cables coming out of rear) then in movement window I have to use top right quater of that window to arrange movements (Out front onto audience, dance floor) and have to centre the beams by eye every time. I noticed that if I mount Lights turned 90 degrees then I can use central thick black lines on movement window (Cross hairs) and beams are perfectly central every time along those cross hair lines.
So my question is this.. Can I adjust lights or movement window somewhere in settings to arrange beams along those central cross hairs without mounting fixtures at 90 degree angle on truss, as this means all cables are visable and would be a pain to hide from audience.?
I have attached two pictures that will hopefully explain better..
Any and all help is much appreciated.
Thank you all.

Yes I have done that Dave, but still have the same problem in the Pan/tilt window, lights are not centralised along the cross hairs. They still operate in top right corner of pan/tilt window and I have to do everything by eye and not use the guide lines for dead straight up/down movements.

Just a thought, I have had to rotate lights on Visualiser by 27 degrees to get them to align with Pan/Tilt window.
Would that mean that the settings in pan/tilt window is 'out' by 27 degrees?

I have the same problem too, I've have not yet found a solution . The first day I got my lights, I noticed that when I turned my lights 90° it all aligns. Not sure why this is, but it is.

You can adjust them to start where you like with the menu on the light itself. Each light should have have pan and tilt adjustments in the menu allowing for correction
