worth the buy?

Post by mattjake4 »

I have a LIVE show to do for a few bands on Saturday and I had a few questions before I buy this midi controller.

Will I be able to assisgn the faders to Pan/Tilt and assign them to play sequences?

I want to know if this is sutible for a live event.

Also, I was wondering if freestyler had a command line system like the ETC console I'm working off of.

Channel 52 + 55 @ FULL in some type of command?

Those are my questions, thank you :).

Hej mattjake4

Yes you can use Midi faders to Start/stop Sequences ( Submaster intentensitie And Start/Stop control )

Yes you can also assinge the Pan/tilt to a Fader. BUT this only works with The Current Selected Fixture.

And YES! freestyler also have a Command Line System. You can find it on the Toolbar as "GO"

and on this this page you can see all the Command you can use.

Hi Spirit,

Apparently you have a big how-know about BCF2000

I just bought it 2 days ago and I would like to know what you recommand to use it, please ?

Till now I used external keyboards with sequences which I prepared before the show.

But I really need sometimes to interrupt the sequence and play with heads of lyres for example

Thanks a lot

Best regards,

Hi,

Thanks for posting the link to the list of commands.

I'm trying to use OpenRemote to control FreeStyler, which in turn is driving some DMx to SPI LEDs.

I can't seem to find out how to phrase a TCP command correctly.

I have a TCP accessible relay board which responds really well.

All I want to do is start and stop sequences.

If I get really adventurous, I might try to change the speed by sending a TCP command.

Any assistance would be welcomed.
