Need some help with ideas for Oliver the musical

Post by jh14 »

First I want to say sorry if this is in the wrong place feel free to move it to the correct section. Ps I couldn't find the section that says where people can ask for ideas.

So can anybody help me come up with an idea for a show I am working on Oliver the musical. Can anybody tell me what equipment is best and yes I will be using freestyler. At school we currently have 6 led par cans 1 moving head and a ton of par cans and fresnel(I don't know how many we have).

What I want to know is:
What should I hire
What kind of atmosphere should I create

Where can I get hire equipment cheap in the UK

THANKS FOR LOOKING

It all depends what they are trying to achieve with the musical, but something like this picture could be a good effect.

If you notice the LED par cans used as a general stage wash (in any colour you want), but then use the par cans and Fresnel's for spotlights, flashing, dancy scenes, etc. This was used at a rock n roll gig event and I thought it went quite while together, especially when using the strobe on the LED's. If you wanted to you could add a pair of moving heads in, but in a musical I don't think it is really needed depending on what is happening.

Need any more info then don't be afraid to ask :)
