The first version of pro is almost ready.

Freestyler Lite and Freestyler Pro use my Freestyler Connection library, so both applications have the same common code for autoConnect and connection management.

Main application created, can swipe between views and implements the freestyler Connection Library.
Masters Page Created; BlackOut Favorite Freeze Fog, Master Intensity with FULL ON/OFF, Fade In/Out and fader control from 0 to 255.

Cue Screen, Toggle sequence start and stop, set sequence speed.
Master Speed. Release Overrides. Tap Sync. Manual Steps. Long press releases sync/manual

Plus Pro version made using "Fragments" this will allow customized layouts for a tablet view.

Free styler PLUS available in the app store.

Freestyler Plus is the middle gap between lite and pro.

its pro with out the fixture control, however when fixture control is finished plus will be upgraded into pro.
so if you buy Plus at the cheaper price, when released your plus will receive a free upgrade to pro.

I don't think I'd every use the app personally as I'm not a phone person in that sense and I just use it for calls and texts etc, but from looking at the pictures it looks good and I hope people will enjoy using it.

You would be surprised, depending on the work you do. If your a DJ use your laptop screen for your music and have a tablet/phone to control your lights as a second screen.

working in a band, no where to safely place a laptop, too difficult to use a touch pad mouse whilst playing.
as the app gets popular we will add more tailored features for different users. Sub-masters are high on my priority lists.

I never thought of it like that with being a DJ but a good point and I do a bit of DJ-ing. I'll have to see what phone I get next as I've got blackberry at the moment.

if its a newer BB, android can be ported to BB.
once stable i plan on releasing the lite into the BB market

It's not unfortanely but I'm hoping to get a better phone when contract ends in a year.

Installed FS 3.5.2, installed Freestyler Pro.
Computer running FS connected to same network as phone.
FS running & FS Pro running.
Can't talk to each other?

Tried auto scan and entering the IP but still nothing.

When will the Fixtures work?

Its finding time at the moment to finish it, last weekend has Groups, and Bulb/shutter/strobe/intensity/iris/frost/focus/zoom implemented.

next to implement is
gobo(Next,Previous,random) Colour(next,previous,random) Colour picker pan/tilt.

Hey Matt.
Just updated to the Freestyler Pro remote. Did a quick test and it looks great. I like the ability to name the override buttons. Is it possible to add that feature to the groups and the cuelist buttons?
Awesome job by the way. Now just need to find a way of saving and labeling sequences and cuelist buttons via remote and then we can program the lighting from the dance floor or from the front of the stage and have a good feel for what our audience or performers will see and feel.

Hi david, Thanks for the feedback.

To label Cues, cuelists and groups just long press the button you want to rename and an edit box will apear.

in a future update the edit button will be added to each screen to ensure consistency through out.
and a further future update will get the names from freestyler automatically.

as for programming, i have an idea of creating a tablet version which will become a 2nd touch screen interface and the ability to program was an intention....but unfortunatly thats way down the line.

There should already be one . Strobe low med high control the flash rate. Shutter close and open turn it off or static on

Yep. Its on my todo list. Add a colour picker and improve the pan tilt to allow dragging the ball. Im also working with the developer to add a timeout to Fs which will allow reconnects after a failed connection.

1)i have the issue if i dragg a slider, 8 out of the 10 times i dragg to the next screen/tab.. instead of dragging the slider..

2)and there are NO sperate speed slider for the CUEs...

3)i also see that the EVEN button on the APP doenst work, also if i press the ODD button on the APP it will select the the fixture i selected the last with the mouse.
SO example i patched 3 fixture.
1)now select and deselect Fixture 1
2)Press ODD button on app and it selects Fixture 1
3)now select and deselect Fixture 2
4)Press ODD button on app and it selects Fixture 2
5)now select and deselect Fixture 3
6)Press ODD button on app and it selects Fixture 3

4) i see the Random Gobo one and Color one just sets the Value back to 0

5)i also see if i switch tabs some tabs switches Smooth and other goes a little bit laggy

are you running fs 3.5.2 ?

1: not had this issue, i have the exact opposite and find that occasionally trying to swipe from page to page can move a slider, but never had an issue of trying to move a slider that moves the page. no easy solution for this apart from moving away from horizontal swipes to use the drop down menu built into the new actionbar.
If you do try and drag the slider but you press outside of the control or very near to the side of the screen Android will interpret the gesture as an attempt to slide rather then drag the control. Its all stock android controls so not easy to change.

2. Turn the phone landscape, they will appear.

3. Il look into but feel it could be a FS bug, you do need a minimum of two fixtures selected for this function to work properly and they have to be in the same group, as it selects the odd or even fixtures in the selected fixtures. Ill suggest to raph that if not enough fixtures are selected it selects ALL odd/even fixtures in FS.
there is another odd/even command in fs so we can try that.

4. Not had this one again, possibly a FS bug?

5. This is down to pre loading the next view, which usually also loads any saved info. This is to be moved into its own thread to improve switch time. Although if i get rid of swipe views there will be no need to pre load.

1) yes indeed if i press 1mm besides a Control i allready can move the page, also if i have my finger in the middle of the screen.

2) YES !! nice i see it..

3) i also tried it if i select 4 fixtures at the same time/Same group, EVEN still doesnt do anything and ODD still selects the latest fixture i selected with the mouse.

4) and a little edit, if i press Random i goes back to the First Gobo/Color. and maby its a FS bug ?

5) i think the most easyest way is to Remove the Swipe effect allthough it looks realy Nice!

3) odd/even: I tried this yesterday with no issues, your running a different version of FS to me il get the update from Raph and retest. The function is purely an FS thing, there's no logic in the app it simply sends a command to FS which does the selection so is a bug within FS.

4) Random, after testing upon first press FS goes to the first gobo/colour and not a random value. again a bug report to Raph is needed for this.

1&5 needs some thoughts from other users, currently not perfect but was the most logical way to implement.

Color picker does occasionally deselect all groups and then select all groups. is it a bug?
does the 3.5.2 and 3.5.3

hmm, il take a look but this is a new one to me.
can you identify any sequence of events that all ways trigger it. does the problem happen if you use the faders instead of the picker?

Faders do not. He does not just pick in border color field.
