For maximum DMX control I believe you will want the hardware set up in the 27 channel mode.

SEE MY FOLLOW ON POST

The reason for this suggestion is it allows use of Freestyler's color pallet for each of the Derby and Projector units. If you define only 1 27 channel fixture the color pallet can be used for only 1 of the devices. I believe it will also allow us of other features of Freestyler such as strobe.

Hope this helps

Ugh. Been away from this to long. Here is the better way.

Do set up the hardware in 27 channel mode.

Define a fixture for the RGB Derby - 5 channels
Define a fixture for the RGB Projector - 5 channels
Define a fixture for the Laser - 3 channels
Define a fixture for the White Flash LED - 4 channels

Set the hardware to the desired starting address

Add the first Derby to Freestyler setting the starting address to the hardware starting address

Add the first Projector to Freestyler setting the starting address to 5 above the hardware starting address (ex. if the hardware starting address is 11 then set the Freestyler starting address to 16)

Add the second Projector to Freestyler setting the starting address to 10 above the hardware starting address (ex. if the hardware starting address is 11 then set the Freestyler starting address to 21)

Add the second Derby to Freestyler setting the starting address to 15 above the hardware starting address (ex. if the hardware starting address is 11 then set the Freestyler starting address to 26)

Add the Laser to Freestyler setting the starting address to 20 above the hardware starting address (ex. if the hardware starting address is 11 then set the Freestyler starting address to 31

Add the White Flash LED to Fresstyler setting the starting address to 23 above the hardware starting address (ex. if the hardware starting address is 11 then set the Freestyler starting address to 34)
