Anyone had any luck creating a profile for the Beamer 6 FX? With so many different light types in one fixture, I don't know where to start.

Hi,

can you post a link to the manual? I will think about your problem...

Thank you for the manual. What a nice lamp!

I think there are many ways but first you could start as follows:

Ch 1-6 - Colors: In Fixture creature you can only define 2 Color-Channels. I suggest to define the colors in the macro section. Choose red, green, blue and white and some colors you want, define it for channel 1-6 and choose a symbol with this color.

Ch 7 - Dimmer: Use "Shutter" to switch the device on and off. Use "Intensity" to choose the intensity of the light.

Ch 8 - You can use the "Strobe" channel or define it in the macro section with values you prefer.

Ch 9 - The same as channel 8.

Ch 10 - The same as channel 8.

Ch 11 - I suggest to use the "Gobo 1" channel.

Ch 12 - Ch 10 - The same as channel 8.

Ch 13 - I suggest to use the "Prism rotation" channel.

Ch 14 - I suggest to use the "Gobo 2" channel.

Ch 15 - I suggest to use the "Gobo 3" channel with some defined values.

First: To start with the fixture I would define the channels 1 - 7 and look how the panels and buttons in Freestyler are working. Then you can go to channel 8 and look again. In the current version you don't have to restart Freestyler after changing the fixture - you can right click on the fixture an click "reload".

Let me know if you need more help or have any questions.

Fantastic advice! I truly had no concept of how to divide the light's responsibilities in a singular profile. Your recommendations at least make some sense out of things. THANKS!

You are welcome. In some cases it is helpful to use different fixtures for the same device because it has so many functions. The ideas come mostly when doing...
