Dj Scan 250

Post by Lightman »

Hey guys, i got a question that would be really helpful! :?: If anybody ows the dj scan 250 by american dj, is there anyway that you can make the gobo and color wheel fade to different positions and not snap to them. The pan/tilt has the fade and you can move the mirrors very smoothy, I looked inside and the color/gobo wheels have the same motor as the pan/tilt does. So obviously there must be a way to make them fade and not snap. I just want the gobos and colors to slowly go to the desiered position! If anybody knows how to do this it would be really helpful!!!! THANK YOU :D

(I tried to move the channel bar slowly but it does the same thing)

I'm not sure (I don't own these scans myself) but this might be a 'feature' of the controller in the scanner itself. So basically if it sees a certain value on the dmx corresponding to a certain range, it'll snap to the corresponding gobo.

you can make them fade, but you will see all the gobos and colors that are inbetween.

The colors work ok but the gobos have to do there whole shake thing before they change UHHHH slow shake, med. shake, fast shake, then change

I dont understand why they didnt just add another channel for the goboshake effect :x

Personally whats the point of the gobo shake? I think Gobo shake is one of the most useless light features invented!!
