"File not found!" on startup.

Post by Maby »

Hello,

Suddenly when I start freestyler I get the error message "File not found!".

I can not close this message by clicking ok. As a matter of a fact, I can not click anywhere and FreeStyler seemed to have crashed. However, when I close FreeStyler by clicking the right mouse button on FreeStyler in the windows taskbar - I get the FreeStyler message "Are you sure you want to quit?" When I press no, the "file not found" error disappears.
Everything seems okay and all my fixtures, sequences etc work.

Reinstalling FreeStyler (clean) makes the error message go away. Restoring my backup brings it back. So It must be something I've done (?).

It would be helpful if the error message says what it's missing AND the "okay go away" button works :)

This is the second time it happens to me. The first time I had to to do a clean instal of FreeStyler and building up everything from scratch up.

Has anyone some advice? :fs:

Thanks,
Mark

usually that happens when you have deleted or renamed a sequence that is loaded into either: Submaster, cue window or override button. I would try clearing each one until the error goes away. If you clear all buttons and cues I am pretty sure the problem will go away. You could also try firing every cue, submaster or override until you can find the problem file
