ARTNET TO DMX - stray 63

Hiall, using the artnet to dmx software thats included with FS with a velleman vm116 here, to output artnet from qlc+, over a loopback adapter in windows, as QLC does not have the option to use said controller natively. However, when I move a fader in QLC, said channel starts flashing on the fixture. Upon inspecting the art->dmx output i see, that it is randomly jumping down to the value of 63, and is 63 at dmx full aswell. Where should I begin to diagnose this?
