best windows version for FreeStyler to run on

Post by rawkit »

Hi FreeStylers.
Like the product very much.
Have used it reliably for almost 2 years.
Issues I have had include:
cues having changes to individual fixtures. Quick redo and resave and it works.
Did the 45 upgrade and had no midi comunication.
re installed older version only to have the computer go unstable when running FS.
Re installed Win 10 and re installed FS,3D viewer,Sound to light,Midiox,Midiyoke along with fixture creator and artnet.
Computer is still not right. Diagnostics checkout fine. Temperature readings are fine.

Want to do a total clean of drive and re install all the above (as the laptop is only used for FS shows)
BUT.... what version of Windows will work with FreeStyler best.
Other than Win 10, I have XP sp3, 7 & 8.

Looking for both opinions and advice.
Thanks,
RAWKIT

I find that windows 10 runs as good as any other OS. I have run it on every OS for the last 10 years and have not had any new problems when going to 10. The only problems I have seen have been with drivers for the Usb device. I use enttec dongles with no issues at all.
