Movement restarts

Hello, i am new here. I programming a movement with bezier shape. Then a colour to override buttons.
The movement play ok ! but when i add a colour from override buttons movement restarts(start from beginning) not continue plays.

Hi, i got the same issue... i programmed a move and put iT in the Override buttons. But when i run a sequence (color change's) in the cue list, the movement always restarts from beginning.
Is this a bug, or am i doing something wrong?

Make sure that when programming the overrides that you have all pan and tilt channels Red (off). If you have done that then it may be a bug and need reporting. I am not in a place that I can test at this moment

The response I got is far beyond what I want to do. Can I use freestyler without selecting a single light profile?

Do I need to learn something about "over ride"?

But if you test with a movinghead for example how is turning around. And the press the override button, my colour is changing, so that's correct ! But the turning arround is also stopped !!!
And that i don't want, i want that the moving head continues where he was with his position ...

I also have the same problem !! And when i put my pan/tilt in red/off mode during programming, it's all the same so i think there is a bug in it ...
Somebody can do the test also please ?

Are you leaving all P&T channels red when programming Overrides?

Yes the pan and tilt are red/stop on the screen with the programming for a cue.
Something else i must do ? Maybe a bug ?

I test with the 3d view and there i can see what is happening.

For me it is important because on a wedding i put my moving heads on persons and when i push the button the moving head goes away ...

Maybe it's a bug.Try when you are in pan/tilt menu add your movement/bezier shape and add mode to pan/tilt to snap(little yellow thunder)

If that's the case and the pan and tilt are not in the programmer, then somewhere something is conflicting with it It could be a bug like you say. I'll have a look and see if I can find anything.

I tested on rig last night and all movements continued as normal when changing colors with an ovveride.

open sequence creator, select fixtures, start movements making sure all channels are set correct, save sequence, Close sequence creator. Open sequence creator, select fixtures, make color channel changes again making sure no other channels are being affected, save sequence.
Load movement sequence into cue window, load color sequence to override, activate movement sequence, toggle color override.

This method is working well but it is not really what i want. Here yo must already create 2 sequences.

So what your saying is you want 1 sequence not 2? Where when you start your cue the movement goes into red and does the circle movement automatically?

No, i just want to press 1 button where for example everything goes into red or blue or green ...
When is release that it is continue where he was/is.
And when the button is pressed, that only that color is changed, but the gobo the movement, ... must continue or stay where it is ...

Shapes are not meant to be run outsider of sequences. You will run into all sorts of problems trying to run the software on the fly without programming sequences(hence the original problem). For the shapes to function properly they must be in a sequence.

Ok i can add the shape in a sequence. But how can i change then that i can make the shape bigger or smaller when he is in a cue.

We never had problems using freestyler without cues and sequences. We all do it manually...

You are trying to use the software in a way that it is not intended to be used (as told to me by the designer). I at one time tried to run freestyler as you are trying and ran into the same problems. Once I put everything in sequences those problems disappear. If you want different sizes the make different sequences. I know this is not the answer you want but it is the way the software is designed.
