DMXIS interface with Freestyler

Post by goldtop »

Considering the use of Freestyler for lighting a live band. Was looking at Enttec's Pro hardware interface, when I saw that they have anew piece of hardware out (bundled with their DMXIS software product). Has anyone successfully used the new Enttec hardware interface with Freestyler? Please let me know. Thanks.

DMXIS is by a UK company called db audioware limited. Enttec designed the interface and are the distributors outside the UK. It might be based on the Enttec Pro interface but cannot be sure. Maybe Raph the developer of FreeStyler could find out or even let us know if FreeStyler will work with that interface.

It is an interface and software I have been looking at for when I cannot do the lights for the band and/or the venue does not warrant a full lighting rig, so the band can control it themselves.

Poke.

Anybody else know? I like Freestyler, and I think that's the way I want to handle our light show.

Preference would be to use the latest ENTTEC device, because its going to incorporate whatever lessons were learned developing the last one, and it also allows me DMXIS as a backup plan.

Thanks for whatever help you may offer.

OK... where do Ifind Raph? I'm new to the forum and new to Freestyler. Is there a special page I have to post to in order to get his/her attention?

Please let me know. Thanks.

It should be based on the Enttec Pro, but I can't guarantee that it will work.

Hello;

I can confirm that it does work with the DMXis interface. It found it with no issues and seems to work correctly.

Can I ask, someone who has had success setting up their DMXIS on freestyler to screen shot the setup screen, the only setting it seems to take is when I have it in Open DMX but then it doesn't send out any signal, an other interface and it says Open Failed. Please help.
