I cant see the light beam!

I am new to using Freestyler and I am trying to start it to use in my shows ...

But I have the following problem: I select a moving head, I open the shutter, and increase the intensity to the max, but I do not see the beam in the Easy Viewer.

However, if use the sealing effect (strobe), the beam appears in the Viewer Easy ... I can only see the shows where I use strobe in moving heads!

The rest of the features (pan, tilt, etc) seem to work properly.

I use:

Windows 7 64bit Professional
Freestyler 3.4.8
Magic 3D easy view 2012.5.21.3054

easyview isnt a Software from freestyler, freestyler just use this software.
so normaly i cant anwser you qaustions, only i had the same issue and know how to solve this.


Download the letest Beta version from Nicolaudia.
and Copy the new .EXE from the Beta to the old .EXE freestyler uses and everything willl work better then before.

Hi Folks,

Before I ask the question I am about to, I can assure you I have searched high and low on the internet for a fix to this problem but no joy as yet.

I have attached 4 pars to FS and the same on EV. Both the output on FS and DMX level on EV show the values changing as I change the colours. Unfortunately I cannot get a beam on EV. I downloaded the latest version of EV dated Aug 02. My question is I do not understand copying the new .EXE file and replacing the old one. Could you please be a little more specific.

if you install freestyler it also ask if you like to install 3Dview.
this is realy importent because the 3d view you install with freestyler will only work with freestyler.
if you install 3dview seperate from freestyler, then 3d View will not work!

so Install the lastest beta from the Nicolaudia webpage as you allready did.
Now Copy the New (Beta) Easyview.exe file To the Freestyler directory so you replace the old easyview.exe with the latest easyview.exe file.

now start FS and open easyview. and it should work ok.

so in steps.
1) Install Freestyler with Easyview.
2) install the Latest easyview beta from the nicoladia page.
3) By default go to C:/SLMEV Beta and copy the Easyview.exe file
4) by default go to C:/Freestyler and Past the file there.
5) start freestyler and open Easyview and it should be working.

Hi guys

I have the same problem with some fixtures not working correctly in EasyView.
I did the BETA-update but now I can not get the EasyView to react at all, there is no DMX-signals coming in.
If I replace the .EXE with the old one it works again.

Any ideas what could be wrong ?
One potential difference could be that the BETA is never than the one You have used.

You copy the beta exe to your fs folder once beta installed, and run it by clicking the icon within FS, i got my fixture to work after the other issues by simply opening the file in the scan library editor and then re-saving the file with a 'b' on the end and now it works fine!

Yes, that is what I did but it does not react to FS at all. I can start EasyView from the button but it does not take any signals from FS, and it won't stop from the same button.
If I copy the original easyview.exe back it works again.

So beware, the easyview Beta You can download right now is not working (at least not for me) with FS

тоже сейчас пытаюсь с этим разобраться, Robe colorspot 575at mode 3 как я понял разные установки по каналам в 3д маджик и в FS. наверное придется вручную перестроить библиотеку своих приборов под 3D magic или есть программа для импорта настроек приборов с FS to 3Dmagic view ????????????????????????
