MIDI Input Not Working

Post by buttza »

Issue:
Midi input is not working at all. Devices are recognised however control signals are not triggering in Freestyler. No notes are showing as triggered in the Midi config page.

Action Taken:

1. Remove Freestyler DMX and all Reg settings. Re-installed FSDMX 3.5.6 No Resolve.
2. Tried 2 different MIDI units. Touch OSC and Korg Nano Kontrol. No Resolve.
3. Uninstalled and reinstalled drivers for devices. No Resolve.
4. Restored Freestyler DMX from a backup that has a working midi from a different PC. No Resolve.

Thoughts so far:

I believe it is to do with the local machine issue but not a firewall issue.
It could be to do with a file in the system that is related to Freestyler midi protocol.
When I fresh installed FSDMX and plugged a Korg Nano Kontrol in and configured the Midi I tried to midi map but it was not receiving any control notes.
There was an error before I reinstalled freestyler saying that Freestyler could not be started.

Question:
Is there a file that I might be missing that needs to be removed to 'clean slate' any midi configuration data between Win7 and Freestyler DMX?

If anyone has an issue like this and resolved it could you please let me know.

Thank you.
