Colors mixing strangely on BCF200 use

Post by DutchDD »

Hi all,

I am in the " last stage" for implementing myt BCF2000 after some nasty " arguments' with some fixtures and fixtures files... These are solved and FS is working like a treat...
I run the latest stable version (6,3,2?)

Had some simple presets made in FS. All Blue/ all Red/ All green ...so very streight forward..If I run them from FS they are and look just fine.
But if I run them from On/Of switches or From Faders on my BCF the first opened color is fine, When I Fade out (or switch of) the color fades out or shuts down... so far so good...

Then when I Fade (or switch on Color preset 2... It mixes color 1 with it...... as it was still on a open fader.... or switched on...

So It does not stop... programed a seq stop button..... did not help.

What I did was minimize the configuration (of MIDi) to only what I need.. STill the same problem...
Used only 1 fixture.... same problem..'
Reinstalled FS... setting all to default.... Deleted all Chases, Presets etc... and just set-up the 43 metioned Presets.. It drives me nuts....

Just to make sure the BCF was translated correctly I Set-up MIDIOX And Midi Yoke... same thing...but I id not see notes I just saw the BCF key... In midi Ox I did see the BCF working on any event.. And Yes I did set the Midi input to Midi Yoke 1

Fact is The problem only appears using my BCF 2000.. If I used my BCF I can not go back to " normal" use of FS whitout restart FS...

Last thing I did not do yet is Load an other SYX..this will be done early this evening...

The problem is a big issues for me becource I have a new event comming up the 20th And i need it to work or hire other stuff witch I really not what want to do becource It already cost me money as it is a Promotional event

Please put you thinking caps on and Please spill some ideas how I can fix this...

If this is fixed I finnaly can get to work on presets and Sequeces.. witch is quick to do..

Mutch thanks in advange

Regards

Dutch

Lads and Lasses...

So I loaded a new SYX file.... No solution...

Wrote 3 new chases, Set some setting to close al setting to zero when cliking new chase... Still the same problem...

What i also discoverd that when I use sub masters in FS... the same problem ocurs, so Color 1 is perfect, color 2 also shows color 1.
Looking at my fixtures color faders they indeed open, but don not close.

So What I thought what a BCF 2000 configuration error was i not.....
Disconected my BCF.... test with subbmasters.... sure there is my problem again...

So now I got still some testing todo in the configuration before I go totally mental.. :o :(  ... and start over again

Can you confirm that the first seq is definitely stopped when this happens (eg the play/stop button on the cuelist indicates it is not currently running), and that the fade/snap/off text by the red, green and blue channel values in the sequence editor are all set to a 'fade' or 'snap' on all of the scenes in all the sequences. If they are 'off' the values left over from the previous scene - or other scenes running simultaneously will be used..

Yes I can..... The stop button says it is stopt ... but the fixture faders stay open
I ám sure that colors I did not need where given the red icon behind them
I teted with fade and with snap... all to no avail...

There are no other scenes programd... just 3 Presets and 3 Sequences.
Even after studown and restart of FS...

Yes they are values of they privious sequence... but that was stopt before the other started...
I am totally at a los... I just confirmd it is not the BCF
It only occurs using submasters.... And I need my sub masters....

Your help is very appresiated

Ok.. Only reason I asked was because if a red "off" was selected anywhere then it will not overwrite the leftover values from the old scene down to the 0% you want for the new scene.... If that makes sense to you.

If the first scene leaves for example... Red 100%

The second scene then fades or snaps in green to 100%...

But if the red on the second scene was set to 'off' then it would not write a new value, it would leave the red on 100% like it was in first scene, if you don't want that to happen then you need to tell the red to snap or fade to 0% (or wherever you want it to go) instead.
