Mupltiple assignments and encoders setup

Post by forno »

Hi friends!

Just unpacked my BCF2000 and starting working with it! It's wonderful!

However I have two question and I don't know if it's possible to obtain what I'm trying to do, no result with the search, so I'm askning...

1- Is there a way to assign two functions on the same button? I'll explain, I've set 4 buttons to change the MIDI page, but I would like to use the same buttons to change the Submasters page, so when I select i.e. Submasters page 1 automatically have also selected MIDI Page 1.

2- Is there a way to set encoders to increment/decrement a button value? Explaining again, I would like to use encoders to control submasters, rotating right corresponds to the Go button, rotating left corresponds to the Back button.

Home something possibile (almost the first point)...
Thanks ;)

1- you can use the programs MIDIOX and MIDIYoke to accomplish what you want. Search for MIDIOX in this forum. you should find some relevant topics. otherwise ask again

2- I think you can configure the BCF2000 to do this, look in the BCedit program

I also like to have this feature so i took a look at BC_edit, but the bcf2000 doesn't have any options for this. i think, but some one made a Feature request for it on the FreestylerBugTracker.
so the only thing we can do is wait.

I've searched MidiOx and tryed to understand how to get it work, following this tutorial -> http://www.freestylersupport.com/fsforu ... =10#p10796
but nothing gone right.

MidiOx monitor windows says "Load Map ..." where ... is the files I've saved, but in freestyler I'm not able to config the four programs and the buttons to change them.

some while ago i got an encoder to go up and down in the submaster and i'm pretty sure i changed something in BCFedit. but I might have used MIDIOX as well to accomplish this

I don't think I made a post regarding using encoders to scroll thru sequences or did I? Can't remember.

I will look into it again when I have some spare time.

But maybe I'm doing something wrong with MidiOx, what is the correct procedure to create maps and patches?

I hope I have some time this weekend between fishing and work. I won't promise anything but if I do have the time I will try to explain to you how MIDIOX works. In the mean time you should read all my posts regarding MIDIOX. You might find out how it can help you
