Forum bugs or misconfiguration

Hm, don't know where in the forum to put it (there's no topic regarding the forum itself), but there are two problems with it:
  1. The list function gives a incomplete BBCode. Instead of list=1 the number is omitted (list=), so the function only shows an unordered list. You'll have to add the "1" manually (only if you know how to do it…)
  2. In user profile, there is a character limit in FreeStyler version number. I can't enter "3.6.49", only "3.6.4". Please expand character limitation to at least 6 (better more) charaters.

Version number fixed, I'm sure in the registration of the forum it says if you find any issues use the contact us link below but that has also been sending emails to elsewhere and so I've just fixed that ;)

Ah, thank you for fixing the version number issue, I will enter the correct version number immediately! :-)

And of course for clarifying the list question. Until now I only ran into bbcode in forums automatically giving the list type. The manual one is more flexible, but was new to me, sorry! ;-)

How can I check that?

I searched for an email option in my user control panel, but found no option to get emails for particular events like topic subscriptions.

Because I successfully managed to register for the forum. So I may received an email for that. :-) But that was some weeks ago, not sure if it would still work.

I kid you not but all the German email providers make it so hard to recive emails, it should 'technically' work now or later today

So it should have been successful, but I registered about 15 minutes ago and received no confirmation email. I even tried the second account (laudrin2), too, to check if it's a hoster problem. No mail there, too.

I will check frequently.

I use Opera 57.0.3098.106 (most recent version) as my webbrowser. Adblock and Noscript Suite are disabled for freestylersupport.com. Ghostery is running, but shows no blocked elements. If there would be a problem on my side, I suppose registering would fail. If the account creation was successful, either the bugtracker sends no confirmation mail to me or as you said Web.de and HostEurope use the same blacklist and freestylersupport.com did somehow manage to get listed. :-(

You seem to be right. :-(

I use the same email address for the forum and received no emails, at least I cannot find any in my mailbox.

The following options are marked in my user profil: "Users can contact me by email", "Administrators can email me information".

Furthermore the option "Someone replies to a topic to which you are subscribed" is set in "Board preferences", "Edit notification options", that should have been the case. But again, I did not receive any emails. :-(

I now checked every option there, so let's see if I receive any mails in the next days.

Very strange indeed. Are there any other Web.de users experiencing the same kind of problems?

They all have problems gmx.de was also a major issue they really have the email system closed.

I created a third account, Laudrin3, and lo and behold, I got the registration mail! :-)

Unfortunately it's a non-profit association mail account, so I don't want to use it for personal matters. :(
Furthermore it will be migrated to HostEurope soon, where I did not get the bugtracker email.

So add Web.de and HostEurope to the list of unsupported / blocking providers. Maybe there should be a message on the bugtracker registration email to prevent further irritation.

Could you please delete all three accounts Laudrin, Laudrin2 and Laudrin3? I will then try to find another provider I can register with and with my forum user name.

On an unrelated note, there's a message on the bugtracker login page:
Warnung: Das Verzeichnis „admin“ sollte entfernt oder der Zugriff darauf eingeschränkt werden.
Translation:
Warning: The admin directory should be removed or access restricted.

accounts removed, I updated the software and forgot to remove that directory! I'm determined to look into this email issue and will investigate it more over the next week when time allows
