Hi all,
So i've recently got a great deal on some lighting from a night club that has just closed after 40 years. I managed to pick up
2x Martin 518 mk1
7x Matrin 218 mk2
For a total of £100
All fully working apart from 3 tilt motors.
i saw on martin's website that you can run MSD250's in the 518 instead of the MSD 200's. They reccomend a fan upgrade but give no specs on what to use! The current fan is a 12v dc .20a and power is supplied by the PCB

I would also like to run the msd250's in the 218's, on inspection they have the same ballasts and ignitors as the 518's so i see no problem apart from the fan's.
Thoughts would be much appreciated

Re: Martin RoboScan 218 MSD250
hi
with fans its goes about how mutch Air runs thru the FAN.
Think about a PC FAN it also works on 12V 0.3A.
but you need to look at M³/H or cfm.
the higher the number the more Air goes thru the fan.
and if your going to use a Light bulb that gets hotter it means you need to cool it down allot more..
