usb DMX512 interface bySOH - DHC Error

On my laptop Vista 32 bit, trying to run Freestyler

I get the following "DHC_OPEN - ERROR_ DHE_NOTOPEN" when I select the DMX152 USB as my interface.

If I use another USB inteface I don't get the error.
On my desktop I have no error. Very strange.

Any clues? thanks Paul Jager


Note:
Not sure if this is related by with the laptop...
On installation of the FS software cprogbar.ocx did not register for some reason - but I was able to do that manually after downloading the ocx file.
