Moving Head Pan Offset

Post by dsmusic »

Hi,
I created my own Fixture file for a new small Camco LED Moving Head.
The Fixture works fine except that the center pan position is 90 degree off from what I would like it to be. I.e. the Moving head has his center pan on 3 o'clock instead 6 0'clock. I am sure I need to put sime kine of offset somewhere but can't find it (I am new to freestyler). Can anybody please give me a hint where to look?

Thanks.

mhmmm ... I did some further testing and found that in fact this Moving head has pan values from 0-255. The position 127 is in fact the middle of the full rotation of 540 degrees that the head can do. But this middle is in the 3pm psoition if you look at the device from the display side. What sense does this make? It means they have mounted the device with the middle rotation position at 3pm. Do other devices have the same? I have no experience so I can't compare.

And you couldn't just turn the light round physically 90 degrees when you set it up?
I just ask as sometimes the mounting screw holes underneath might be designed to hang it from truss at 90 degrees angle. Especially if the base is slightly rectangular it generally makes sense to have the shorter amount of overhanging outside of the truss area.
