Beamz Iris Laser Fixture help?

Post by pjatkinson »

Hi there, i have a beamz iris laser and i'm looking to connect it to freestyler but there seems to be no dmx protocol or manual of any kind on the web. is it still possible to create a fixture with no manual?
Any help and tips would be muchly appreciated.
Cheers

It's very difficult and hard to create without the manual or DMX table, but is possible for people like yourself who have the fixture in front of them.

You would have to connect the fixture to freestyler, then patch a generic fixture of about 20 channels (just because lasers can be big) and then using the right hand sliders, note down what each one does when you put it to certain values. Remember this is hard and not IDEAL as it takes time and patience!
