Freestyler and Giotto Spot 400 fixture problem

Post by mviars »

I have 4 Giotto Spot400 lite units. I have honestly never done lighting or control of lighting before but I learn fast and have gotten a fixture file made for them. After much time and experimenting i do now have control of the fixtures and seem to have all working except for one major thing the actual light to show out of the unit. The lamp appears to be on from the bright light bleed from the back of the unit but it looks like either the shutter or iris whatever it may be called is closed. This is happening to all fixtures. When I run a test using the fixtures menu everything works fine and the light shine through. I attached the PFF file if it helps. Thanks to anyone who can get me through this.

Hej mviars

I noticed that there is no max / min value on the Strobe channel.
Set low to 8, high to 119 and change med to 64.

Also as you say it may be the iris that are closed.
In the "Channel tab" set the iris default value to 255 the it is open from the beginning.

If this don't hlp then try use the faders in rightside of freestyler until you get light.
They are direct connected to the channels.

Hej again.

It is a bit advanced fixture to start with as the first fixture in Fixture creator.

I have palyed a bit with your fixture just to show an alternative way to do it.

Have a look.
