Older Freestyler versions to download

Post by classdj88 »

Hello all,

I have been using Freestyler for over 5 years and have created many light shows during that time. My lighting computer recently died so I have to get a new computer. I was able to retrieve a backup of my fixtures, scenes and cues off my old computer. However, I was using version 2.96j and my backup is no longer compatible with the new version of Freestyler. I can run the old version but I would like to upgrade to the latest version without having to reprogram all those scenes again. That will take hours upon hours, as you well know.

So what I was wondering, would I be able to download older versions of Freestyler (like ver 3.0), restore my backup, make a new backup, then download ver. 3.2, restore from the new backup, etc., until I am up to the latest version? I have found version 3.5 and up but I can't find any older versions between 2.96j and 3.5. Will this idea work, taking baby steps up to the latest version? Or, does anyone know how to get my backup to work in the latest version?

Thank you for your help and any suggestions you may have.

Markus
